The single, "Can't Play The Blues In An Air Conditioned Room", has done so well that the record company has Hal back in the studio, recording tunes for both single releases and two new CDs. Already in the can are several new tunes including:
- "Ain't Livin' Long Like This"
- "Pack My Suitcase"
- "Trouble Came To Visit"
These songs are part of Hal's Concert Stage Act and were recorded specifically for radio airplay. After they hit wide release, you will undoubtedly see these tunes on the various charts, but especially www.IndieWorldCountry.com You can tune in and follow the progress. Indie World Country has long been the leader of the independent artist charts and has always provided fertile ground for new releases from a variety of talented artists. Look for the big names you know and also the newcomers that are rapidly building name recognition.
The Electric Blues Band has recorded several CDs, with a blend of high-energy blues, blues rock, and country blues. One effort has a unique theme of "Music of the Homeland for a Strong America!" It features original songs written by Hal Hammer, Jr., C.D. Morris, Dickey Betts, and other talented songwriters. This special effort was titled, mastered, and released in late 2005, and sold out immediately. It may be re-issued at a later date, if requests are strong enough.
A number of the group's members have taken on other gigs. Noted bassist, Shawn Wainwright is now associated with Al Greene, Tom Kennedy has done some solo pieces and handles both drums and bass, while performing excellent vocals. The success of many of the original members has created the need to form another performing and recording group to handle current commitments. The Cross Creek Blues Band is now a reality. With "Sweet Pea on bass and vocals, Captain Gary playing harmonica, Robby Baldridge on drums, and Hal playing guitar, keyboard, and some lead vocals, the band plays and records regularly and is available for special booking.
