Hal and his group, The Electric Blues Band, have completed a new CD, scheduled for release early next year, and are currently in the studio working on more new material, including a Christmas CD.
As scheduling permits, Hal and the band will be appearing at various venues along the Gulf Coast, New Orleans, Memphis, St. Louis, and Chicago blues clubs. Check back for more information as these dates are confirmed or get on the E-mail schedule list for bulletins and updates.
These are photos of Hal Hammer, Jr. & The Electric Blues Band . . . . The headline performers at the 5th Annual EARTH AID Concert, held March 30th on the Space Coast, in Florida. The event is held every year to promote E.A.R.T.H. Awareness and to raise money for the musical education of gifted children.
Hal is currently recording several singles and another new CD. As time permits, he makes special appearances at industry trade shows, appearing for North American Guitars, Sabine, Levy's Leathers, Ltd., DR "Pure Blues" Strings, Rivera Amplifiers, and other endorsed companies with regularly scheduled performances at the Summer and Winter NAMM Shows, The Dallas Guitar Show, and more. In addition he recently has made appearances in Atlanta, St. Louis, San Francisco, Sacramento, Orlando, and Bourbon Street in New Orleans.
When road and tour schedules allow, Hal likes to play local venues in his home town of St. Petersburg, Florida. Sundays may find him playing at The Cajun Cafe' on the Bayou in the afternoon. The local blues crowd gathers at local spots such as "Rockwell's", "Dave's Aqua Lounge", "T-Backs", Ringside Café, and a number of others. At one time or another, Hal has appeared at all of them. He does two shows a year at Brandy's on 4th Street in St. Petersburg, and will be appearing next in December, with the band, "True Colors".
Hal likes to contribute his efforts to helping others with session work, blues projects, and he always enjoys the thrill of performing as an invited special guest for events or musically themed appearances.
